Geocache Description:

1. Park at the listed coordinates - do not park on the side of the road.
2. Do not go past this point, past this point starts to enter onto mining property & there are posted signs after here.

As you drive along into Princeton you will see what looks like "shelves" along the side of the road - these are "stacked" tailing piles of rock from days gone by.

(Barlee, The Pictograph Country Similkameen No 1 in a Series, abt 1960, p. 5) – This huge mountain of tailings parallels the road for hundreds of yards. The tailings are the residue from the Granby Consolidated Company operations at Copper Mountain. The tailings are estimated at about 35 million tons covering approximately 500 acres and averaging a height of 97 feet.
