Geocache Description:

The is one of 12 the Cache to Eagle series that are to be placed around the Catalina Council Area. Once you have completed three of the caches series you will be able to receive a "Cache to Eagle" patch. To receive the patch, email the cache owner the names of the three caches you found. Each cache has a name written inside, one for each points of the Scout Law. The Cache is located as you cross the bridge to the lower right hand side underneath a rock

Reaching the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America requires years of dedication and hard
work. In addition to 21 required merit badges, each Scout must complete a project that — on average
— requires 167 service hours. In 2008 alone, that translated to $16 million in service (based on the
national volunteer hour value of $19.51).

This cache is part of a nationwide geocaching series called "Cache to Eagle" that showcases these
special contributions. This particular project was deigned and built by Troop 157 of Immanuel Presbyterian Church. Take time to admire the Labyrinth, and the natural trail that built through this urban desert landscape. The gazebo and the bridge were also built by Troop 157.

Over its first 100 years, Scouting has provided millions of hours of service to communities across
America. For our 100th Anniversary, we’re celebrating that legacy with special service opportunities
through "A Year of Celebration, A Century of Making a Difference." You can join us, and even earn a
commemorative patch! Visit Scouting.org/100years to learn more.

An Eagle Project is a project that is supposed to meet these requirements (visit link) This Particular Eagle project benefits the community in which it was built. Before I placed this Cache at this location there was already a cache in its place. That cache was placed in Memory of Geraldine Kopman who would frequently visit the labyrinth that the Eagle Scouts of Troop 157 built. You can visit this previous cache Geraldine Kopman (GC2D802) (visit link)
