Geocache Description:

The village of Morven lies between Culcairn and Holbrook in the Riverina.Morven dates back to the 1850's when it was settled ,as a Cobb & Co stop for the changing and resting of horses before crossing the billabong and the continuation of the journey from Wagga Wagga to Albury and return. The quaint village is a nice rest stop on your travels around the region.

Morven is still one of the oldest licensed Cobb &Co coach stations in NSW.The remains of the old stables can be clearly seen together with many relics, next to the historic hotel built around the turn of the century after the original burnt down. The nearby Billabong Creek is the longest creek in NSW.The creek headwaters are east of Holbrook and empty into the Edwards River at Moulamein ,NSW. The cache contains a log book and pencil within a zip lock bag plus many swaps.Good opportunity for a photo and a very historical stop .Stealth will be required .Enjoy the hide.
