Geocache Description:

Pierre Loti Heights / Pierre Loti Tepesi

Pierre Loti (pseudonym of Julien Viaud, 1850 - 1923) was a French novelist and naval officer (visit link)

He visited many times Istanbul and wrote novels, part autobiography part romance, about Istanbul life. During his stays in Istanbul, he used to visit frequently the cafe at the heights named today after his name. This cafe still exists today.

From the several cafes and restaurans in Pierre Loti Heights, you may have very beatifuls views of the city.

However, before taking a rest, we suggest you to find the box we hid near the historical café where Loti was daydreaming frequently and was meeting secretely Mrs. Aziyade, the ottoman lady, heroine of his novel "Aziyadé".

Our box, wrapped in camouflage cloth, sits on a garden wall, hidden by nearby foliage. It contains a nice evil eye talisman (visit link) ) which will protect the one who will be the first to find from evil eyes and will bring luck to the bearer.

***************

On yil sonra Pierre Loti Istanbul'a tekrar geldiginde ise, Aziyade'nin ölümüyle yikilir.
