Geocache Description:

******* Cache is NOT at the coordinates posted above. *******

A small container at an historical cemetery with a tiny "puzzle" to solve.

This historical cemetery is labeled as Scott Cemetery on Google Maps, but a quick search here (visit link) suggests three other names: Crosby Township Cemetery, or Old Fernald Cemetery, or Wilkins Cemetery.

There is, however, another Scott Cemetery on Eaton Road, one mile south of Route 127 in Butler County, Ohio (and also a Scott Road in Shandon, Ohio).

The occupants of this cemetery were documented by Robert D Craig in 1961 and include:
--Cault/Gault, Rachel J-died 14 Feb 1866/11y 1m 3d/Dau of John & Patience
--Fipps, Angelina-24 Apr 1829-12 Nov 1859/Wife of Christopher C

--Greasley, Henry-born Leicestershire Eng-died 7 Jul 1844/48y

--Harrod, John-died 9 Aug 1872/71y 7m 25d/Husband of Margaret

--Nose, Rebecca-12 May 1823-11 Jul 1847/24y 1m 8d/Dau of Barbary Nose
--Smith, AG-stone broken
--Vollmer, John-21 Apr 1837 Ostdorf Oberamt Balinger Wuertemberg-21 Aug 1859
--Wilkins, Margaret-dates eroded from stone/poor condition
--Wilkins, Michael-died 26 Dec 182{9}/89y 8m 21d
--Wilkins, Peter-died 20 Aug 1844/63y 1m 24d
--Woodward, Samuel B-died 22 Oct 1826/9m 29d/Son of Joseph S & Mary

This leaves out, however: James Scott, his consort Miranda Fleming Scott, their daughter Mary Ella.(?), another daughter whose name is unclear, and Andrew Scott. They are to be found across the street.

Which brings us to the puzzle at hand:
--The posted coordinates bring you to a stump in the middle of the cemetery--an ordinary stump, not the cool granite stump marking Phil Lewis' grave.
--Nearby you will find Peter Wilkins' grave marker.
--Sight from Peter Wilkins' stone to the obelisk marking Andrew Scott's resting place.
--The cache will be found approximately midway along this line.

Please be respectful of your surroundings and use caution near the road. You do not need to disturb any grave markers while searching for this cache.
