Geocache Description:

This cache is right along Forest Road 49 in the Zuni Mountains. This is in line with the Zuni Canyon series of caches.

Water runs through this drainage only during the spring snow melt for about a week or two. This is an easy in/out of the car.

Next to the cache is an early road bridge. Further to the north (about .25 mile or so), you'll find the railroad bed that the early loggers used and upon which Grants got it's name. This area has a lot of natural beauty. I've seen elk and deer on either side of the road from this location. Bear have also been known to frequent these parts. In the winter, this area can get several feet of snow.

Enjoy the Zuni Mountains. One of the best places on earth.

Watch out for all the natural critters in the summer months.A couple of people have noted water running through the drainage after heavy summer rains.
