Geocache Description:

About this Cache:
This group of caches are off the main gravel road and are located on the horse trails. The terrain is a bit worse with water and mud across the trail in low line areas. All caches in this series are rated a 3.5 terrain.

Suggested parking coordinates: N32.21.444 W88.39.733
About the series:
Ever since the introduction to the power trails, I have been on the fence trying to decide if I wanted to do one or not. For some cachers it is just about the number of the finds and not the location or the quality of the cache. For me I think the location and the quality of the cache does matter. So this power trail is not a park and grab by no means. If you want to get some exercise, get outside and enjoy nature then this is the trail for you. Most of the caches are micros since we had to take them in with backpacks. Most will be easy to find, a few curve balls have been included just to keep it interesting. All the caches are rated a 3 terrain or more due to some of the inclines along the trail.

Be Prepared:
Before you start out for this series, you will need to be prepared.
At minimum if you stay on the gravel trail the distance around the lake is 4.5 miles. My overall mileage when placing these was 6 -7 miles and will increase as more caches are added. Allow plenty of time, we spent about 4-6 hours on each trip we made along the trail as we worked on placing these. With that in mind, let someone know where you are before heading out and take along the following items. Water, snacks, cell phone, flash light, spare batteries, bug and tick spray, hiking stick, writing instrument and any other items you think you may need.

About the location:
This power trail is located on a dirt trail for horse riding/walking/biking inside Bonita Lakes Park. Park hours are 6AM to 10PM. The first mile of this trail is an old dirt road and then becomes a narrow horse trail. Bicycles are allowed on the trail however no ATV's or motorbikes allowed.
