This is the 7th hide of my "Once Here, Now Gone" (OH.NG)series.
Easy P&G, NOT on the other side of the gate.
I dont have alot of info on this place other than the fact we used
to come here alot and have a beer and great wings on the screen
porch or under the cypress trees. At one time there were bungalows
to rent and a swimming pool with a marina and boat ramp with boat
slips to rent. A restaurant and bar were in the large building and
"Hootiehut" bar out over the water, on the dock. I remember talking
to the owner one evening and he told us he saw this place from his
plane, flying home from a University of Florida football game, and
he said he HAD to buy it. Im sorry it didnt work out because its
got a nice old Florida feel to the place. The place was a lil
dingy, but HEY I dont want to live in a perfect, sanitized,
generic, cookie cutter Florida. My hope is that some one fixes the
old place up and make a go of it, otherwise it will just become
another gated community we are not allowed.
