The listed coordinates will take you to a commemorative plaque celebrating 100 years of the Rotary movement. The local celebratory project was the development of the arboretum and the accompanying barbecue shelter.
While the plantings are still relatively young at present, it’s not hard to see what a fabulous asset this facility will be in years to come. It is also quite interesting in the way it has been laid out with the various tree species of the same genus planted out in fans from each side of the six sided shelter.
With this cache I thought it would be fun for cachers to try and find a few trees within the arboretum. Each tree has a name plate on the ground adjacent with an alternate (in some cases more common) name. Once all the names have been collected and written down carefully, I would recommend sitting down within the shelter to complete the puzzle.
