Here in this Kapell "Notre Dame de la Paix" is every year in August(day before Maria Himmelfahrt) a light- sacramentprocession.
The chapel originates from a promise of WWII of some Hiefnecher who promised to build it if the village wasn't too damaged. In those days a priest had already plans but failed. 40 years(!) later in the 80s, another priest came with new plans and it was finally built in 1990/91. Therefore an Asbl called "Les Amis de la Chapelle de Notre Dame de la Paix" was founded. The white Maria is a sculptered remake from one in Chateauneuf-de-Galaure.
The chapel has been closed for nearly 10 years. You can now visit it anytime.
The place itself is the crossing of two antique roman paths from Mainz-Beßlingen and Arlon-Trier. The Héikräiz cross dates back to the 19th century. Furthermore, it's on the border of the medieval lordship Meesebuerg(including Reiland) and the lordship Hieffnech.
You can see the hiding place in the spoiler(right).
