Kemigawa shrine is a Shinto shrine dedicated to three God of Susanoo-no Mikoto / Uka-no Mitama-no Kami / Izanami-no Mikoto. At first Susanoo-no Mikoto was enshrined on this ground for epidemic breaking up in 869.
Then Masaaki Kaneta of the Shogunate direct feudatory of a shogun enshrined Uka-no Mitama-no Kami with a feudal lord of this ground in 1616. At last he enshrined Izanami-no Mikoto for from 1624 to 1644.

検見川神社は、素盞嗚尊(すさのおのみこと)・宇迦之御魂神(うかのみたまのかみ)・伊弉冉尊(いざなみのみこと)の三柱の神を祭った神社です。まず初めに素盞嗚尊が869年(貞観11年)に疫病退散のためこの地に祀られ、その後この地の領主で幕府旗本の金田正明が1616年(元和2年)に宇迦之御魂神を、寛永年間(1624年~1644年)に伊弉冉尊を祀ったといわれています。八方除けの厄払いの神様として効験があり、中でも土産物の「ちまき守り」が有名です。
