We made this cache in honor of the younger of our two Alaskan Malamutes, Baja. We got her in August of 2009 as a companion to her older brother who we've had since Jan 2008. They both love going for walks and running around in this area.
Parking is just under a 1/2 mile away at Sanborn Lake behind the athletic complex on Airport Road. Please do not use the neighborhood behind the cache as you would have to pass through private property coming from that direction. At Sanborn Lake you can follow the trail around the lake to the southeast, and then branch south off toward the cache from the southeast end of the Sanborn Lake. The hike is pretty easy on a trail following flat terrain, but the trail can get pretty muddy after rain.
