For more information on this series please see cache #1.

Sandwell has over 300 hectares of countryside for you to enjoy. From a large Country Park to small wildlife sites there is a surprising amount of countryside in the borough of Sandwell.

Whether your interests lie in walking, birdwatching, sports or just being in the great outdoors, you are sure to find something to do in Sandwell Valley Country Park.

There are acres of woodlands, meadows, farmland as well as pools and streams, three Local Nature Reserves, a lake for fishing, two farm visitor centres, an RSPB Nature Centre, the remains of a Benedictine priory, an 18-hole pitch and putt course, crazy golf, football pitches and a showground which plays host to a variety of events during the course of the year.

This cache consists of a small plastic box containing a log and pencil. Located next to public path.

The Country Park can be found just off Junction 1 of the M5 motorway, at West Bromwich. Sandwell Park Farm, Salters Lane, West Bromwich, B71 4BG
