The cache is located at the Mahaka Katia (Pisa Flat) Scientific Reserve.
So here we have another reserve near Cromwell that looks like a paddock....
No beetles here though!
The Mahaka Katia Scientific Reserve is a 27 hectare reserve managed by the Department of Conservation.
The reserve contains more rare and threatened plant species than any other similar sized area in New Zealand.
The reserve is signposted from Wanaka Road, just turn off at the sign and follow the orange markers on the fence until you reach the carpark. Location should be pretty darn obvious from there.
The cache is a 400mL snaplock container, painted an orange/browny colour.
Please use only the rocks by the cache to rehide it, do not use any that are currently in use as rabbit-proofing for the fence.
