The cache Patsy's Destiny is located on the Nature Walk about half way in and is in a Rubbermaid lock top container. The Nature Walk is a 1/4 mile Wheelchair accessible trail that starts and ends at the same point.
PLEASE BRING FOOD FOR THE MOSQUITOS BECAUSE THEY ARE HUNGRY!!!!
Patsy's Destiny is named for Patsy Dowling. Her association with Bay Area Rehabilitation Center began when her daughter Kristina started receiving occupational, speech, and physical therapy services at the age of three. Patsy's special passions were for individuals with disabilities and she was an active volunteer for the Special Olympics as it was a natural extension of her activities. In 1985, Patsy learned that she had breast cancer. The cancer was placed in remission but in 1990, the cancer reoccurred and again went into remission. In 1998, Patsy learned that the disease had metastasized to her brain, and for five years she bravely fought the disease. The Wheelchair Accessible Nature Trail and Playground located at Bay Area Rehabilitation Center is named "Patsy's Destiny" in her honor and memory.
