While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for the cache owner and block other cachers from placing a cache in the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can’t do so forever.

Nothing seems to happen with this cache listing, so it is now archived, so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location. Also, if it hasn’t been done already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.

If the owner wants it reopened, send me an e-mail and I’ll be happy to unarchive the cache listing if it still satisfies the requirement/guidelines.

[ NOR: ]Hønse Lovisa er kjent fra romanen Ungen til Oskar Braaten. I Sandakerveien 2 ligger Hønse Lovisas hus, og selvom det aldri har bodd noen Hønse Lovisa her (det er kun en litterær skikkelse) har huset for alltid blitt assosiaert med Oskar Braaten. Huset ble også benyttet ifm. filmatiseringen av Ungen i 1974. Se http://www.honselovisashus.no/ for mer informasjon.

Ved siden av Hønse Lovisa hus ligger Nedre Vøyenfossen, også kjent som Nedre Vøyenfallene.Her lå tidligere Vøiens Bomuldsspinneri –som ble startet i 1846 og ikke stengte før i 1955. Det sies at elven fikk farge etter tøyfargingen i fabrikken, slik at selv rottene var grønne, blå eller lilla!

Fossen er spesielt flott i vårløsningen, når vannmengden er som størst. Anbefales på det varmeste! Det er gjerne her avisene tar bilder om våren for å vise dramatikken i Akerselvas vårflom. Rett ved siden av ligger Wallmans salonger. En blanding av restaurant og show, og med syngende servitører!

[ ENG: ] ”Hønse Lovisa” is known from the novel ”Ungen” (”The kid”) by Oskar Braaten. In Sandakervn 2 is ”Hønse Lovisa”s house, and even if there was never anyone named ”Hønse Lovisa” living here (its an entirely fictional figure), the house has always been associated with Oskar Braaten. Close to Hønse Lovisas house is Nedre Vøyenfossen, also known as Nedre Vøyenfallene. In 1846 the clothing factory Vøiens Bomulddspinneri was opened, and did not close until 1955. It is said that the river got color from the dyeing in the factory, and even the rats were green, blue or purple!

The waterfall is particularly beautiful during springtime, when the water rises in the river Akerselva.

Just besides the waterfall lies ”Wallmans salonger”, a mix of restaurant and show, and were even the waiters are singing!
