'Cause we got a
little convoy...
This event is open to all! We'd love to meet up with anyone that is
either a local geocacher in Kamloops and area or anyone else that
is travelling to GeoWoodstock VIII - come one, come all and meet
the Calgary Area Cachers and get a smiley for doing
so!
This is a multi-faceted event cache. Whilst the focus is on the
evening-time relaxation in Kamloops, this is merely the midway
point on a cross-country convoy return trip from Carnation, WA to
Calgary, AB. Please join us during our journey - here's some of our
itinerary:
Day 6
For those convoyers starting the return journey on this day,
breakfast is at 9:30am with departure at 10:30am and a trip
northwards through the border stopping for lunch in Abbotsford, BC.
Come wave them off!
Arriving in Kamloops in the early evening, we will meet for
supper at Billy Miner's Restaurant (and hopefully meet up with some
local geocachers) and then deep, restful sleep!
Day 7
An early start with breakfast at 8:30am at the same restaurant and
then a 9:45am departure, heading eastwards, stopping in Golden for
a picnic lunch and navigating a time zone change.
Our final stop of our amazing journey will bet at the McDonalds
on Bowfort Road in Calgary. Restrooms and refreshments will be
popular here!
