Jenmen: Time to archive this one.
It is a good area for people to explore so maybe someone else might take up the opportunity to place a cache here.

This cache was placed to encourage you to drive this beautiful (breath-taking) route, walk through the ferns and forests on the way, stop at the Ford and have a picnic, and to give further incentive to travel to the Six Foot Track cache and visit the cairn there.
The Old Ford Reserve is an ideal place for a picnic and there are lovely pools of the Megalong Creek, for children to paddle in (there are also deeper holes too so keep an eye on toddlers)
The entrance to The Old Ford Reserve is at S33 43.912 E150 14.098
This is also a great place to camp and there is a toilet provided (pit toilet)
"Megalong" is an old aboriginal word which means "Valley Under The Rock" or "Valley under the cliff"
The cache is a quick 1-2 minute walk from the picnic area (when you know the way )
The bush has many animal tracks leading through it, but none lead directly to the cache. Never-the-less, it is not a hard bush bash!
Please close the door of the cache when you leave. Scatter some extra leaves etc so it is well hidden.
The original cache (ammo box) contains lots of goodies.
