This cache starts in a small memorial garden alongside the carpark for Whyalla Airport and WP2 is a short walk from WP1.
Parking is free so long as you stay for less than 30 minutes.
NB there is no access for the general public between 9pm and 6am.
In 1960, Donald Jacquier started the first St John Ambulance service in Whyalla and in 1965 expanded this to include the Air Ambulance Service.
The service at first flew patients between Whyalla and Adelaide, then gradually grew until it covered the whole of South Australia and did several interstate trips per month.
The Air Ambulance combined with the Royal Flying Doctor Service in 1990.
