The first of a series of caches with views of our "home mountain."
We feel at home when we can see Camels Hump or know that we are just a short distance from a view of it.
After a time away from home, we yearn to see it from I-89 or from the air.
The idea of this series is simple--to offer you views of out favorite mountain. Some will be panoramic with the Hump as one of many mountains in the distance. In others, the mountain will be framed in a way we find attractive. Occasionally the attraction will be an unusual angle or an irresistible place to sit and look--or just sit.
Sometimes we are surprised: "I didn't know you could see Camels Hump from here!" We hope that you, too, will surprised by some views and gratified by the majority of them. Some may puzzle you. This one is a fall and winter view, for example. The return of foliage in the spring will hide the Couching Lion from this spot for a few months.
