Geocache Description:


This is a memorial cache in the memory of Captain Edward 'Ted' Hughes who lost his life fighting bushfires on the 2nd of December 1997.

Please remember all those brave firefighters who give their time, effort and tragically sometime their lives to protect our lives and properties. They should all be remembered and honored for their brave deeds. It is because of their tireless work that we can enjoy our walks thru the bush.

When you drive past this spot please take the time to stop and give thanks at the cross and if you wish add a stone to the small cairn beside this spot.

The cache itself is located some distance away so as not to disturb this site
