When I was a little kid, I would come back to my grandparents house for a week or two. During that time, we'd frequently come down here with a picnic lunch packed by Grandma Lamb and sit on the picnic tables and watch the water.
This cache is located in Flinton Conservation Area. The Conservation area itself only consists of two picnic tables but the view of the Flinton Falls is beautiful. Please be careful around the falls especially during the spring when the water is very fast and cold.
Many years ago, Flinton was home to a hydroelectric power dam and this dam diverted the water through turbines. The remnants of the turbines can be found across the road.
If you want a good view of the turbines, walk along the old wall located to the left of you while you look at the cache and the dam. BE CAREFUL - a slip or fall could result in injury.
