Ein kleiner Tradi am "Roten Turm" in
Ratingen-Breitscheid.
Die Kirche wurde während der Amtszeit von Pater Carl Fischer osc.
(1961-1977) erreichtet.
Die Kirche besteht aus zwei Komponenten: den festen Mauern aus
Beton und dem zeltartigen Dach, unterbrochen durch ein Lichtband
und damit voneinander getrennt. Das Gestänge des Daches erinnert
denn auch sehr stark an ein Zeltgestänge. Der Grundriss der Kirche
besteht aus einem Sechseck, in das ein Dreieck gesetzt wurde. Beide
sind andeutungsweise entlang der Kirchenwand zu erkennen. Das
dritte Dreieck ist der Helm der Kirche.
Die Zahl 3 ist in der Bibel eine heilige Zahl. Im Neuen Testament
steht sie für die göttliche Dreifaltigkeit: das dreiseitige rote
Dach also für Gott, den Vater, der die Liebe ist, Gott, den Sohn,
der für uns sein Blut vergossen hat, und für Gott, den Heiligen
Geist, der sich in den Feuerzungen am Pfingstfest auf die Apostel
niederließ. Zum Sechseck kommt die Spitze des Daches als siebte
Ecke. Die Zahl 7 ist wie die 3 eine heilige Zahl. Die 7 kann
Folgendes bedeuten: Norden, Osten, Süden, Westen, oben, unten, und
all das wird von Gott zusammengehalten.Symbolisch ist die Schöpfung
im großen Buntglasfenster hinter dem Taufbrunnen links neben dem
Altar festgehalten. Es zeigt die vier Elemente: Erde, Wasser, Luft
und Feuer.
Ursprünglich war für das Dach blau als Farbe vorgesehen. Dennoch
bekam das Dach die rote Farbe. "Rot lässt mich denken an Feuer,
Begeisterung, Liebe, an den Heiligen Geist" (Pater Carl Fischer
osc., damaliger Pfarrer, dessen Anstrengungen wir die Kirche auch
zu verdanken haben). Im Volksmund bekam die Kirche bald den Namen
„Roter Turm“.

A small tradi at the "red tower" in
Ratingen-Breitscheid.
The church was build during the curatorship of Father Carl Fischer
osc. (1961-1977).
The church has two components: the solid walls of concrete and the
tent-like roof, interrupted by an optical pattern and thus
seperated from each other. The arrangement of rods reminds to a
tent. The sketch of the church is a hexagon with a triangle in it.
Both are visible in outlines along the wall. The third triangle is
the helmet of the church.
The cipher 3 is a holy number in the bible. So you can find it in
the new testament as the holy trinity: the three-sided roof for
god, the father, who is the love, god, the son, who has given his
blood for us, and for god, the holy ghost, who has established
himself down to the apostle at Whitsuntide. Additional to the
hexagon there is the peak of the roof as seventh corner. The cipher
7 is like 3 holy number. The 7 could have the mean: north, east,
south, west, up, down and all is held together by god. Symbolically
the creation is shown on the tinted glass windows behind the
baptizing to the left of the altar. It shows the four elements:
Earth, water, air and fire.
Originally was blue intended as color for the roof. The roof got
the red color nevertheless. "Red lets me think to fire, enthusiasm,
love and the holy ghost." (Father Carl Fischer osc.). Soon the
people gave the church the name „red tower“.
