I thought I was doing a good deed, sweeping the doorways between
the apartments at my home in Lyneham. When the leaves and dust were
cleared, I felt a sense of achievement. But, when I pushed on my
front door to head back inside, I discovered that I had... locked
myself out.
I patted my pockets. No keys, no wallet, no phone. It was two in
the afternoon and my partner was due to finish a class at 3.30 pm
in Watson. No worries. I was supposed to pick him up in the car...
time to head out on foot.
I got hailed on. Not just once, but twice. I wasn't wearing a
jumper and my pants were awfully thin. Brrrr. It was freezing.
Then there was the waiting... 45 minutes until class was done. I
might as well suss out a place to hide a cache, make the most of my
time.
So, let me introduce you to Canberra Technology Park.
