Great cache for walking or cycling. Very easy to find. Generally flat ground from all locations.
The cache container is a plastic 1 litre capacity box with a secure waterproof ‘click lock’ type lid and is hidden along one of our favourite walks through the New Forest.
We reccomend you park at the Happy Cheese Pub Car Park and follow the gravel cycle/footpath through the forest. Alternative route past Ashurst train station keeping to the left of the tracks into the forest.
For a great walk use the 2 waypoints "Rangers Lodge" and "The Junction" this will take you on circuit to the cache and back to the car park.
We have seen many deer along this route so look carefully. There is also a shortcut but can be extremley muddy during the winter months.
Dont forget to find the bridge and wave to the train.
