Geocache Description:

After visiting the nearby Brewery ThudDriver and I searched for a good location to place my first cache. We both spotted this bridge nearby.

After picking out the proper cache container we started looking for the perfect spot. ThudDriver walked up and took one look and said let’s put it right here. He placed his hand at the location and right away his fingers felt something plastic. So he grabbed hold of it and pulled out the same type of cache container we had picked and as LUCK would have it, it was a geocache. Since we already knew there were no geocaches published in Shiner before our trip down here, we thought we must have stumbled onto a newly placed, non published cache and then how cool it was that we could be the FTF even before it get’s published.

When we opened up the container we checked the log and the name of the cache owner was written on the front but there was no date placed on it and a blank log. However the container showed signs that it had been there for a VERY long time. This started us thinking about all of the possibilities.

We both stood there on the bridge for a few minutes amazed and wondered if this was a new or forgotten cache. We decided to go ahead and sign the log, it was a geocache of course, but we also decided we would try to contact the cache owner once we got back home. Maybe the owner had lost the coordinates and we could help out and get this cache up and running for everyone to enjoy. On the other hand we decided if we couldn’t locate the cache owner we would wait at least one month then go ahead and publish it ourselves.

When we both got home we both searched for the owners name on geocaching.com but neither one of us could find the owner was even registered. So even though the log has been signed by both “ThudDriver” & “V-oh”, the FTF is still up for grabs.
