There is nothing ecclesiastical about this film canister cache, and don’t expect to see Pete Seeger, The Limelighters or The Byrds jump out of the brush by the nearby bluff and start serenading you. This is just an elementary park and grab on Hwy 79, designed to give another excuse for a road trip up a pretty stretch of blacktop.
There is a convenient pull-off spot very near the hide. Please be careful as this can be a busy drive at times, but you are separated from the vehicle traffic by the wide shoulder/bicycle lane. Some stealth will be necessary at most times, however, this section of road near the bluffs is often frequented by people collecting fallen rocks for some project or another, so when in doubt, bend over and pick up some stones. Who knows, there may be a rock garden in your future.
Don't forget to bring your own pen or pencil. Also. please replace the log paper and pill pouch back in the container exactly as found. This help the lid to stay on better. Thanks.
