Second Green
Golden Gate Park Golf Course, a nine-hole, par 3 course tucked in
the northwest corner of the park, might be the Bay Area's best
place for a beginner to become acquainted with the game. And
established players will appreciate the opportunity to practice
their shorter game on a course that, for its humility, still
manages to create interesting challenges. Nine short holes tucked
among eucalyptus and pine--often sloped, and ranging from short to
miniature--come to grow on you over time. However, get ready to
duck--the higher proportion of novices in a less
etiquette-conscious environment can result in the odd golf ball
ambush. Greens and fairways often show a bit of wear and tear, but
the peaceful setting still manages to provide moments of real
beauty.
The cache container is a 28 ounce Lock N Lock.
This cache contains an irwinSports pathtag for FTF.
