Before Black River Falls was a city to speak of, people associated with the “Grove” referred to this area as Wasonville after a group of families ventured here to settle, from Vermont. Today, there’s a granite marker located at the southeast corner of this public park serves as a reminder how history such as this, can be so easily forgotten over time…
