Geocache Description:

This is a small container with screw on lid. Please cover it up so it can't be seen easily from the top.

We were out to climb Castle Mountain and get the caches up there, when we turned the corner and there was this awesome bridge just sitting there. So once again geocaching has proved a valuable game by revealing such an awesome relic.

Originally built as a railroad trestle to haul coal from the Chickaloon area around Mile 76 of the Glenn Highway, this bridge has since been replaced and is located in the woods along the Chickaloon Branch Road. I believe the bridge was constructed around 1917.
