ITALIANO

Azzate è un borgo di origine medievale. Una volta lasciata la strada principale andando verso il cuore antico camminerai per stradine dove potrai trovare alcune ville rinascimentali, chiese medievale e un castello.

Questo geocache ti porterà a un terrazzo recentemente aperto con un belvedere delle montagne e lago. Vi raccomandiamo di venire a vedere il tramonto!

Già nel ‘500 dimora della famiglia Bossi, il palazzo è passato nel ‘700 nelle mani dei nobili Castellani è oggi sede municipale e proprietà del Comune. A livello architettonico spiccano il porticato e l’ampio scalone barocco, il bellissimo camino in pietra nella sala dei ricevimenti, oltre agli affreschi ed ai decori opera, forse, del varesino Magatti.

Il geocache è un contenitore piccolo con solo il logbook che è nascosto vicino al belvedere. Non dimenticare una penna! Questa zona può diventare piena di "muggles" allora attenzione!

Azzate is a small town in the province of Varese. Once you leave the main road and head towards the heart of the old area you can walk along the quiet streets and discover many medieval remnants along with churches and a castle.

This geocache was originally hidden in the Azzate belvedere with a view of the mountains and lake, but after it went missing we had to hide it elsewhere. The geocache is currently hiding in the 16th Century Villa Castellani, home of the Azzate commune, but previously belonging to the Bossi family before passing to the Castellani family in the 18th century.

Even if the cache is no longer in the belvedere, we recommend that geocachers park their car and admire the sunset on a clear day (after finding the geocache!) especially as there is a children's playground along with the lovely view.

The geocache itself is a small tupperware box with some toys inside. Don't forget to bring a pen! This area can become very popular at times so caution is required.
