Geocache Description:

Took a well-deserved 'mental holiday' today and drove out to Saguaro Lake to place some caches. It's such a fun area to play in, but there are very few caches. Well, problem solved.

This will require 4wd and decent ground clearance. There are probably many ways to get there, but the easiest is via the Butcher Jones Recreation Area. (And this isn't necessarily easy...) You won't need a Tonto Pass, but you will have to enter before dark. You can exit at your leisure.

There are many, many, trails to explore but remember, whatever you go up/down, you will probably have to go back up/down.

You will need to bring a writing stick with you.

Ok, it's not the most exciting cache-site in the world, but at least it will give you an excuse to get out and go 'wheeling! It was really, really, hot when this was placed, so there's not much walking involved. From the cache site, you can see Weaver's Needle, Four Peaks, and Saguaro Lake.

Bring lots of water--very hot in the summer--and watch out for creepy-crawly and prickly things.
