Geocache Description:

One of the most interesting houses in Saskatoon is Pettit House on University Drive.

This is one of my favorite houses in Saskatoon. We go past this place almost every week when out walking, and it is such an interesting place.

Accuracy at time of placement was 10 m. FTF is a Tim Hortons $2 coupon.

Saskatoon businessman Herman Pettit wished to build a house of unusual design. Architect Frank P. Martin, very active and prominent in the 1910's and 1920's, designed a residence which did not follow popular orthodox style. In 1927, the building was converted to allow apartments following the plan of architect J. Melrose Morrison. In 1936 a small summerhouse was added on the grounds. Further alterantions were made in 1940.
The eclectric style wood frame building utilizes wood, brick, stucco and stone on its facade. It features a port-cochere, tower with round bell cast dome and half-timbering.

Congrats to Sask_girl & Novy on the FTF.
