Geocache Description:

Parking: N42 37.814 W078 47.2390

We found this seldom used park recently while geocaching. I live and work in the area and never knew it was here! What a treasure. We have been working on a cache idea for months and when we saw this forest we knew it was the perfect spot.
A few suggestions and cautions:
*We STRONGLY recommend rubber boots, the weather this year has been very very rainy, the trails are incredibly water logged. Even this does not take away from the beauty of this park.
*There is very little bushwhacking involved, stay on the trails, you will pass within 125 – 150 feet of the cache location. Although caches are hidden in the park keeping most of the forest untouched and natural should be everyone’s goal. It is very rare to walk for hours and not see garbage, we’d like to see this park stay this way.
*Use caution while walking, there are many fallen trees in and around the trails but all are passable.
The cache container can be considered small, there is room for small trade items. We have packed it with items for everyone. Please keep the cache clean and the trade items in plastic bags so others can enjoy new clean trades. (we put some extra empty plastic baggies at the bottom of the cache.) There is a also a first to find prize. Please replace the cache container EXACTLY as you find it, it is important to us that each cacher has the same magical experience finding the elusive Keeper of the Cache. We’ll check back often just to be sure! We hope you enjoy the beauty of this park.
A lot of planning went into the cache, hours spent finding just the right spot, many miles logged hiking in and out, patience in getting the container just right. We hope that others are inspired to come up with new ideas, to challenge themselves, to make each cache better than the last. The joy is in the hunt, the beauty in the find… Enjoy!

Rory, Jill & Chase
