A micro in Industrial part of Hayward
Today I was looking for spots to hide little caches in this industrial part of town. These areas are great for evening and weekend cache-hunting. I prefer these areas to residential and commercial areas, as far as urban hide types go.
I pulled over on the opposite side of the street (Arden) and saw a dry salt pond where the Hayward shoreline region meets the manufacturing and transportation sector.
This container is similar diameter to a film can but a third the height. Room only for log in ziploc (sorry, no frogs in here). Should be pretty easy for most cachers. Go get it!
Update 2/6/10: Replaced container with one water-tight. Good to go for the finders! I also saw that in winter, there is a good-sized accumulation of water in the pond.
