Geocache Description:

Situated in the North West of England, the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) covers 312sq miles of rural Lancashire and North Yorkshire and includes the famous landmark Pendle Hill.

The Forest of Bowland AONB offers plenty of opportunity for quiet enjoyment such as walking, cycling, fishing and horse riding, and with newly opened Access Land, can now offer some of the most remote and rugged walking in the North West.

This is our second cache. This is a fine spot for a walk or just laze the afternoon away by a river. The GZ is across the river via stepping stones water levels permitting. Plenty of parking opposite the GZ. The cache is located at the bottom of a tree. Please cover well after your visit. The Cache box is well stocked and with your help it should stay that way. I would like this Cache to be more of a geocoin DEPOSITORY as it is in a lovely part of central england and may encourage more cachers to visit. Enjoy!. PLEASEmake sure when you log your visit make sure the date is correct even if you are a late logger
