Ammo can full of red stuff. Can be done from the trail or the
river.
I was sitting in my house today and it was raining. I was
thinking, I've found caches in the rain why not hide one in the
rain. It was drizzling when I got all my woods caching gear
together. It was pouring when I walked out the door. At this point
I was committed so I got in the Jeep and took off. I went to the
Florida Trail where the really cool bridge is. The bridge itself
was slippery. I had to watch each step. At the river I took a right
and went through the enchanted knees. You'll have to go there to
see what I'm talking about. It sure is pretty back here. The rain
just adds to it. I scared some pigs. The noise of the rain hid my
approach. I probable could have let out a few grunts and joined
them but instead I let out a loud, "Sooeeee!" I was only about
fifteen feet from them. You think pigs can't fly? You should have
seen these. I kept following the clear areas and saw a big old
tree. I wanted to hide it there but there was nowhere for the
tether so it is about twenty feet away.
While I was there some guy approached and said his name was Vlad
something or other. Said he was hunting for the core to a nuclear
satellite from the 60's. He had a bag full of red stuff and asked
if I could put it in the cache. Trying to be diplomatic I took out
all my cool things and put in some old Soviet junk. I guess his
grandkid cleaned out the toy box because he is all grown up. He
said it was tough to part with but in the spirit of some good ole
KGB brainwashing it is worth it. He wanted to name it Red Dawn. I
thought that was a dumb name. It hurt his feelings and he pulled
out a garrote and threatened to use it on me. I like having my head
attached to my body so I decided it was in my best interest to
compromise. We came up with Rain Dawn. How goofy.
Special mention at the top of the cache description if you post
some pics of you finding it in the rain.
