Geocache Description:





Remy Etienne LeBeau is a Creole from Louisiana, and is also known as the X-Man Gambit. He has a prominent role is the Wolverine: Origins movie just released. He first entered the X-Men world in Uncanny X-Men Annual #14 in 1990.

A former professional thief, Gambit was not readily accepted by the other X-Men. A real lady's man, Gambit developed a romantic relationship with Rogue over time.

His primary ability is a capability of manipulating kinetic energy. He can manipulate the energy internally or externally. When used internally, the energy increases his strength, speed and agility. One of his signature moves is to put a charge into a playing card and the toss it as weapon.

In his younger years he struggled to control his ability to put a charge into anything within his view. Another signature tool became his staff. A master of the martial arts, he also uses his early training from the thieve's guild, which makes him a dangerous foe in hand-to-hand combat.

There has been a couple of attempts to establish a comic featuring him and there have been a couple of Gambit miniseries.
