Geocache Description:

Cache is located in the Scroggsfield United Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

The history... The church was organized in 1818 under the leadership of Rev. Elijah Newton Scroggs, who was pastor of the Yellow Creek United Presbyterian Church. The church and community were named after Scroggs. It was first called Mount Scroggs, and later the name was changed to Scroggsfield.
An early leader of the church, Robert George, who in 1808 was the first settler in the community, donated the land where the church was built. The first was made of hewed logs and was 25 by 30 feet. Two frame buildings were lost to fire, and the present building was completed in 1888.

The cache... My 4 year old son and I were on our way to his brother's ball game when he saw this cemetery and excitedly suggested we hide a cache here. He helped me hide this one.
Seems it will be a lonely cache.
It's a camo covered plastic spice jar. Please bring a pen to sign log.
