Geocache Description:

Im proud to be a resident of Earlsdon. We even have our own community paper. As part of a series of geocaches Im placing around the ares I though I would share information on the publication with cachers, the same as Im sharing caches with its readers.

ECHO Community Newspaper provides a source of information, comment and entertainment to the Earlsdon, Chapelfields, Hearsall and Spon End districts of Coventry. It was first published in April 1979 and is produced eleven times a year. The 30th anniversary issue of ECHO is currently on sale.

ECHO is produced entirely by volunteers and is independently financed by sales and advertising. It is not affiliated to any political, religious, commercial or other organisation.

ECHO is sold through over 20 outlets, including newsagents, churches, pubs and various shops. Recognising the value of ECHO as a non-profit making service to the community, none of the outlets takes a commission on sales.

ECHO is produced by a regular team of ten to twelve people but also welcomes additional material from local people and organisations. We believe that the essence of a community newspaper is that it is open to anyone who has a contribution to make.

Now you have got this far - the cache a large plastic container- about size of a carton of fruit juice.. As you approch the spot for this you will spot where its attached from a fair distance.

This is along side a busy road and as its so close to the park and wood there are alway alot of people walking past.

Please take care when getting the cache and replacing it.

Bring your own writing implement.
