Geocache Description:

A flat circular trail, passing the beautiful Rearsby Mill, and visiting several local villages.
(see below for trail details)

Parking:-
Roadside parking is available in the village of Rearsby, on Brookside road, located at (52 43’27.66”N 1 02’20.12”W)

Detailed Cache information:-

The Cache is Hidden somewhere in the hedge row on right hand side of the small public footpath (with the train line behind you).
The clue below provides a cryptic rhyme that leads to the location of the cache itself.
See below for a guided walk around this area that will take no longer than 45 mins.

Recommended circular trail:-

1) Turn left round the curve of the road where you parked (away from the ford) until you reach a stoney track on your right (where brookside and mill lane merge), which you are to follow round to the left up to a farm, at which you turn right along side the back of a barn.
2) Follow this trail all the way along to the rail way track, and be carful when crossing .
3) Follow this trail along until you reach a concrete footbridge & metal gates *The cache is hidden along this stretch of the walk in-between the railway you just crossed and a concrete footbridge over a small stream (see details of the cache below)*.
4) Now make your way across the field to the left of the house, through another gate and turn left towards the mill.
5) Follow this track around Rearsby Mill, making sure to stop to take a look at the old millstones and beautiful pond.
6) Cross the bridge over the old weir and follow the small fenced road through the middle of the field until you reach a larger road, at which you turn right towards Thrussington
7) Follow this road back a 10 minute walk to Thrussington, with Manor Farm to your right as you enter the village.
8) Once reaching a road junction you can either turn left to stop for some lunch at either of the two village pubs, or turn right, back out of the village over a stone blue railed bridge to continue the walk.
9) Once you have gone over the bridge, follow the raised pavement alongside the road, back into the bottom end of Rearsby, crossing back over the railway line at a level crossing.
10) Head up the right hand side of the road, branching off on a small inclining footpath alongside a hedgerow, leading through a kissing gate into a small field on your right, keeping to the footpath with the Nunnery on your right.
11) Pass through the wooden set of kissing gates at the top of this path, and follow the narrow path down until you reach a residential road, at which you turn right towards the church.
12) Follow the path by the side of the church yard, turning right at the end, towards Rearsby Church itself, until another kissing gate is reached leading onto a small lane, which you turn left down, with the church behind you.
13) At the bottom of this lane, cross over the small stone footbridge next to the ford, and turn right back to where you parked your car.
