This is my first cache series, so I hope you enjoy them. It is a pleasant, rural 5.5 mile route around varied terrain. There are a few stiles and some hills but these are not steep.
There is a half hourly bus service from Basingstoke or Andover (route 76 and 86). For cars, I suggest you park at the co-ordinates below - there is space for about 4 cars here. You will need to set off along the road (with pavement) in a Westerly direction. This will take you past the attractive Manor Cottages - reputedly the longest residential thatched terrace in Britain with a roof spanning 600'. They were built in 1938 to house workers for the nearby paper mill and are now owned by a Housing Association. They were rethatched in 2007.
Cross the road and turn onto the footpath. You are looking for a good sized small container, big enough for most TBs and coins. I hope you enjoy the lovely river scene here.
