cache placed in Taylor's Woods, the woods from The Grove down to Allensford. There are several ways you can get into the woods to the cache (see below). fairly easy walk, can be muddy in all seasons so wellies/ boots recommended. not really suitable for buggies or wheelchairs. whichever direction you come in follow the footpath, you will come to an open area with trees, this is site of the cache.
Named the cache after our dog, Tasha, who loves running around these woods getting muddy.
Can park at Allensford picnic site car park, cut through Bluebell Woods or walk up Pemberton Road to the bridge then cross over road. Look for the steps that enter the woods where there is a sign saying Castleside Inn 10mins (ignore 10 mins cos I don't think it's possible!). Follow the footpath till you get to clearing with trees.
Can enter the woods from Castleside Inn, Moorside. Follow footpath, can be a bit muddy here and there are several different footpaths but GPS will keep you on right track. keep on through the woods till you get to really muddy bit beside the field (if familiar with these woods you'l know where I mean), once past here the cache site isn't far.
Can park at The Ponds car park at The Grove or in Selby Gdns. Take the footpath beside the bungalows marked Allensford Walk on a big stone. Follow the footpath, there is a big field and you can take first footpath down the field which will lead you into woods or continue further down till you get to the other side of field, you can go down this footpath then cross over bridge then turn left into the woods or follow the gravel footpath right around which will lead you into the woods. all these paths will lead you onto the main one to the cache. Lots of wildlife in these woods, have seen quite a few deer!
Cache is small lock tight box with water pistol, make up brushes, mouse keyring thing, £1 coin for FTF and Tasha TB.
