We call this cache "In between Canyons", as Forest Road # 369 will
take you from the Road leading into French Joe Canyon, over to Dry
Canyon, high clearance vehicles or 4WD are recommended.
You will have to hike up a hill and climb some rocks, the hike is
fairly easy, if you plan your route wisely. When you retrieve the
cache, be careful not to back into the Prickly Pear cactus, we
found out the hard way! We would have left a pair of tweezers, but
didn't have one on us, if you happen to have an extra one, please
leave it in the cache for future use.
The cache is an ammo box, containing a logbook, pencil and a few
trade items, the FTF prize is a Zuni carved fox fetish, symbolizing
camouflage, the ability to meld into one's surroundings and be
unnoticed.
Be aware of the typical desert hazards, such as scorpions, snakes,
thorns etc.
Enjoy the views and bring your lunch, there is a nice shade tree
up there.
