require the use of a compass or waypoint projecting to locate the
final cache.
Final stage - a small round lock-n-lock container capable of
holding small items, small travel bugs, and geocoins.
This location is a well-known location to almost every resident of
Natchez, but probably very few know the history of it.
This was the location of the home known as "Somerset". The land
was owned by the Feltus family for nearly 100 years. The home was
built in 1916, which is considered by some to be "modern" compared
to many of the homes in Natchez, which date back as far as the mid
to early 1800's. This large section of land was beautifully
landscaped by the owners. In an effort to preserve some of the
historical significance, the current owners agreed to keep as much
of the landscaping as possible. Many of the shrubs and plants were
transplanted and are still alive on the property. Some of the trees
were kept as well, including a large red oak near the front of the
property. This tree measures 84 inches in diameter at its' base,
and is one of the largest of its' kind in the United States.
