Along the Atascosa River Valley near Poteet, lies well-drained sandy loam soil with just the right mixture of climate and minerals for growing delicious berries. Mustang grapes and dewberries grow wild here, and the local settlers have planted their own strawberries for close to a century.
The Poteet Country Winery was once an old dairy barn. In memory of the way things were before prohibition, the General Store was rebuilt and furnished in period decor.
The cache is located in the General Store and is a small container with a log and room for tiny items, please bring your own pen.
The General Store is open for all whiners or winers and for treasure hunting on Friday - Sunday from 12:00 - 6:00.
