Rhymney Hill is situated between
Tredegar and Rhymney.
There are a few public footpaths
on the hill that connect the two towns of Rhymney and Tredegar, the
cache is placed close to the path that runs near the highest
point. You can access the cache location from either
direction. Parking at the suggested location will give you a round
trip of just over 1.5 mile. If you're feeling extra fit you can
park in Bryn Bach Park and use the public footpaths to snake your
way onto Rhymney Hill, which will give you a walk of approx 5
miles.
Walking to the highest point you
will have a 360 degree view, you'll over look Bryn Bach Park,
Tredegar, Rhymney and on clear days you'll see down both the
Sirhowy and the Rhymney valleys.
***Usual precautions to be
taken when walking on the hill, suitable warm clothing and footwear
is advisable.***
