The cache introduces the Van Dusen Preserve of the Queensbury Land Conservancy.
These 88 acres were part of a British Crown land grant in the 1700s. The property was in the continuous ownership of the Van Dusen family until the donation to the Conservancy in 2003. There is a trail around the property's perimeter which climbs to the high point then crosses the contour line and descends back to the parking area.
The area is open sunrise to sunset only. BYOP
It is little known and little visited. The trail head log showed only 55 entries for all of 2008.
