Monkey Pirate Pier Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Krypton: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Thanks for your cooperation!

Geocache Description:

I have it on good authority that - contrary to what anyone tells you - that this pier is used at night by Monkey Pirates. They quietly sail their ships in and tie-up here... Hence the monkey-like climbing required if you want to get up on the pier.

This nice bayside trail is often used by people walking, jogging, or riding bikes, particularly when the weather is good. There is a lot of large gravel might can make this a little challenging for bikes, strollers, etc. The trail is flat but you'll need to climb up onto the pier (also not difficult, at least for me) to get to the cache: you have been duly warned.

There's no need to walk under the pier, hang over the sides, or anything like that.

Coordinates were averaged down to 6' EPE so they should be good.

Assuming that these trails are part of Sunnyvale Baylands, please restrict your hunt to the posted park hours: 8am to a half hour after sunset. Bikes are OK, but no pets. Please be careful when retrieving/replacing the cache. Happy hunting!
