My family is trying to get into better shape. In the spirit of that
we spent a couple of days hiking in Sunol Regional Wilderness
taking a few of the easier hikes.
This cache is located off of Canyon View trail near the top. The
brochure calls this a gentle rise in elevation and for people in
good shape it may be. For me though it was a long hard climb. My 9
yr old daughter did well on it though. Bring water, especially in
the summer as it can get very hot. Please watch for snakes.
From the cache location is a nice view down towards the area
known as Little Yosemite. This is a good spot to take a breather
before heading down. The trail is well traveled and you may need to
rest longer than you need in order to let the travelers pass
by.
There are many other caches in the area but there seemed to be
room for this one. Enjoy the hike and the views.
Please watch the posted hours for the park because they change.
